In a very brief teaser, AMD this afternoon has released a picture of their first Radeon RX 6000 video card.

No further details about the card are given, but based on the sizable triple fan design and dual 8-pin PCIe power connectors, it stands to reason that we’re looking at one of AMD’s high-end card designs. Overall the design looks reminicant of the Radeon VII, which is not terribly surprising since that is the last high-end (high-powered) video card released by AMD.

Don’t be surprised if we see more teasers over the coming weeks, as AMD gears up for its October CPU and GPU presentations. AMD will be holding its “Next Generation Radeon Graphics” keynote on October 28th at noon Eastern.

Lol yes. The RX 5700XT already beats out the 1080 Ti in plenty of titles.

You're thinking of the vanilla 1080. The Ti is significantly faster.

No I'm not. The 5700XT beats out the 1080 Ti in a number of titles. It definitely loses a lot more than it wins, but there ARE wins (and not just like one or something).

Having some wins but overall more losses means that it's not faster than a 1080 Ti

... My original point was that they already had a card that could beat the 1080 Ti in a non insignificant number of games. Thus, RDNA 2 HAS to be faster than a 1080 Ti. Is this REALLY that hard to understand??? -_-

That wasn't what the original poster asked for though. They asked for something that's faster (with no qualifiers). Not for something that can compete in some titles.

It was misleading. One can also easily find certain games where a 1080 Ti is faster than an RTX 2080. Would I say the 1080 Ti is generally faster than a 2080? No. The 5700 XT is commonly a fair bit slower than a 1080 Ti, so most people would consider, in general, that the 1080 Ti is faster than a 5700 XT.

I never said the RX 5700 XT was faster than the 1080 Ti! I was only suggesting that it's close enough that RDNA 2 NOT beating a 1080 Ti is literally impossible. Come on guys!!! How hard is this to understand!

@Cooe Either they're idiots who can't read, or they're intentionally trolling you with a straw man argument.

Yup. I understood his point immediately.
